PAL4 ROCKS!!For those who does not know what PAL4 is,it is A.K.A Performing Arts Leaders.There were leaders from Drama,al kinds of Dance and Band.We gt to know each other and became good friends through many funny activities!

Went to school, reached at about 8.15am and waited with Saras.Went to Music Room to meet Chu ping.At around 8.45am all leaders were inside and Mrs Nair wanted us to sit beside people from different CCA groups.From there we were made to learn more about each other for e.g Name,class,hobby…etc.After that, we were tested my Mrs Nair. For e.g what is the name of all these people in this lane. After getting to know each other we moved to the Performance Lab. Once there we got to know our instructors Ernest and Farah.The workshop they were conducting was called “Leadership Through Drama”. We played games where we had to walk at different paces and do different actions within a short period of time.It was very confusing at first because I kept getting the numbers and actions wrong but a soon got the hang of it and enjoyed it very much.After that we had a break and continued by playing a game which needed a lot of brain power.I was the leader of my group and I had to construct a structure or figure using my teammates but there were a few catches,the instructor would say something like hand on butt or finger on nose and the leader had to tell the teammates whose hand touched whose butt.It was very funny as some of the structures were kind of obscene.The other rule was that for e.g once your hand is placed there it cannot be moved away from it and had to stay there. Minutes passed and it was soon Lunch time.The malays were served Nasi Lemak while the rest were served rice with I have no idea what.All I knew was that it looked disgusting,but they finished it ayway.At 2pm we started playing a game called “still picture”With the same group we were supposed to make a picture that the instructor told the leader.One of my group’s pictures was “toilet”.And Jessica had to pretend to sit in a toilet bowl and act as if she was having constipation or diarrhea.Her face was so into the act that even her face turned red!Lastly, all of us were split into 2 groups of 12 or 13 and we were supposed to think of an act and act it out within 10 mins.We spent 2 mins thinking 2 more mins getting scripts right and the other few mins practicing.Jessica was playing an auntie..why am I not surprised…And I was acting as a Bad girl.Our story was very long-winded but everyone did a very good job especially Jessica Tan.At the end of the day,we were given survey forms to fill up and that was it Oh Yah,we also played a game where we had to close our eyes and imagine things….

Reached school at the same time. Was ready and excited. True enough it was going to be a very fun day. Met a new instructor called Jacq. My first impression of her was she was a very funny person because when she laughed no one could resist to not laugh along with her. She introduced herself in a very funny way and managed to memorize all our names very quickly. We were all given a book with blank pages and we were to write how we felt and what we learnt after every activity. We all wrote our names on a piece of paper and pasted it on out shirts as name tags. We played and played for so long but every time we finished a game we would have a reflection time. Behind every game there was a lesson. For e.g. when you believe you can do it. At lunch time I was given a HUGE packet of mee goreng to finish and it was too filing. After lunch Chu ping left for her violin lessons and there were only 3 choir leaders left there; Jessica, Lifang and me. We played more games that helped us understand ourselves better .I discovered that I am very flexible, meaning that if I was placed with very active people I too will become hyper and if was placed with quiet people I would become very timid too.After many such games we sat down and Jacq told us we had to buy our own lunch the next day.So, we discussed about the food but I had to leave early because I was afraid I would be late for the concert at Victoria Concert Hall and Chu ping would be left alone waiting at the MRT station. Instead,I was the one waiting for her at Novena Mrt station..I waited for about 10 mins for her and found out that her teacher didn’t want to let her off.We took the MRT all the way to Raffles Place Interchange and started walking.With my trusty map and with the help of Chu ping’s mother we managed to find our way.I felt as if we were playing Amazing Race or something we both looked so blur..We reached VCH at around 7 and we had to wait for 30 mins before it started.In the mean time,Chu ping bought a small can of Pringles and she kept tempting me to eat it,since I’m muslim,I could resist the temptation and still had to cure my cough.Within about 10 mins the whole can was empty!She must have been REALLY hungry!The first choir the come up on stage was VJC choir the Second was Mr.Foong’s and man he looks weird with a bow tie!And lastly my aunt’s choir!woohoo!go auntie go auntie!haha.She looked very beautiful with all the make-up and the dress.I really wanted to introduce Chu ping to her because they are both in Soprano 1 and both are Sectional leaders!By the way,I still haven’t told her im one either.hehe.The concert was very nice and it lasted until 9.30pm. After the concert we went our separate ways and by the time I reached home it was 10pm already,I barely had any energy to even take a shower!

That day was really exceptional,all our games we focused on Team.Few of my Favorite games were passing stuffed toys around and for the other one we had to walk through a very long skipping rope while it was turning and my last favorite game was traffic jam. The first favorite game’s objective was to throw an animal in ascending or descending order.We were all told to pick a card sit in a place in the room which we were comfortable in and then look at the number on our card.Mine was “35.”There were 2 animals 1 was called”moo-moo(cow)and the other”gerger(tiger)”I had to throw the cow to 36.(Daphine) and throw the tiger to 34.(Yi Juan).We had to throw the animals as fast as possible so that we beat the record time and after many tries of sheer determination we finally succeeded.The other games was very fun because even though we were afraid that the rope might hit us we still managed to pull through.The rules we as follows:1.Everyone has to go through the rope without running 2.Everyone had to go through the rope even the rope turners 3.If someone was hit,we had to restart. 4. At every level Jacq would say how many people can go through at a time and by how many intervals.The first level was easy,we had to go one by one by every 2 intervals.The talls ones had some difficultly because they kept hitting the rope.In the this games,being short or medium sized was an advantage.Muahaha.Level 2 was a bit harder,we had to go 2 by 2 within every 2 intervals.Everyone held hands as if they were getting married,even the guys!Level 3 was the last level but it was VERY hard.We had to go 6 by 6 within every 1 interval!But thankfully,all of us managed to go through.Just some extra information:Chu ping has done this so many times that she looks so confident when she walks through like doing a cat walk!hahaha.Jessica on the other hand was very auntie like.=p Lastly,Traffic Jam.It used up a lot of our brain power and by the end of the day we were very tired.There were 4 people on each side of the V-shape.At the sharp end there was an empty space.The rules are:1.We all have to move to the other side of the V-shape by taking only 1 space at a time 2.Everyone can only move forward. 3We could only jump over 1 person to get to the space. At first,my group tried Trial and error method but it didn’t seem to work to we took a book and started to plan. When we were almost there we tried again and again and again and we almost gave up.Once we heard the other group screaming we found out that it was possible to do so.And we were the second group to finish.I will never forget the experience I had with PAL4 because within only 2 days I have learned so much.If anyone asks you to participate in any PAL,you should definitely go for it.

Had choir practice today because tomorrow is our performance at Jurong Birdpark.I really hope my Throat can heal faster!!It will be very embarrassing if I cough on stage!
Ok,have to go practice my songs now.Bye!
